DEFINITIONS
Federations
An umbrella organisation for clubs in an area, e.g. county. NAWB membership is £12 per annum; life membership is not available. Insurance for clubs within the federation is arranged with NAWB under their federation umbrella. A NAWB member federation may enter the federation classes in the annual show and win the federation trophies.

Clubs
Wine and/or Beer circles are groups of Wine and/or Beer makers holding regular, organised meetings with elected officers. An organisation whose members are, majoritively, interested in wine and beer-making. A club may or may not belong to a federation. NAWB membership for a club is £12 per annum; life membership is not available. Insurance for clubs may be arranged with NAWB through their federation, if they belong to one, or under the NAWB federation umbrella if they don’t. A club must be a member of NAWB to obtain insurance via the NAWB umbrella. A NAWB club member may enter the circle classes in the annual show and win the circle trophies.

Member
A NAWB member is a person with an interest in wine and / or beer making. NAWB membership is £12 per annum for a single member, or £20 for joint membership for a couple who live at the same address; life membership is 10 times the annual membership (As of 23/6/2022, we no longer offer this). A fully paid-up member may enter any of the individual classes in the annual show, although there are specific rules for the Newcomers classes and the Judges classes. A member does not have to belong to a club and may belong to a club that is not a member of NAWB.

Non-Member
A non-member is a person who may or may not have an interest in wine and / or beer making (e.g. they may be a spouse of a NAWB member). They may belong to a club that is a member of NAWB, or may belong to a club that is not a member of NAWB.
If the person is a member of a club that is a member of NAWB and they wish to enter the annual show, then they may enter the classes in sections 3, 5, and 6 in the schedule. If they wish to attend the annual show, then they must pay the non-member conference fee.
If the person is a member of a club that is not a member of NAWB, they are not allowed to enter any classes in the annual show; they may attend the show and will then pay the non-member conference fee.

Membership fees are due by 1st July each year.
